Fall Snowboard Freestyle Camp- October


Take your park riding skills to the next level and get one-on-one attention in a small group setting. This one-day camp is geared towards new and intermediate terrain park riders who are looking to gain confidence in tackling a variety of features and tricks. Participants must be able to ride and link turns confidently to take this camp.

Camp Schedule:

  • Morning Session (10AM – 12PM):
  • Warm-up park inspection run
  • Quick stretch session with an individual goal setting focus for the day
  • Flatland tricks, nose roll combos, butter combos, carving tricks
  • Box basics; 50/50 nose/tail press backside and frontside board-slides
  • Lunch (12PM- 1PM)
  • Afternoon Session (1PM-3PM):
  • Box/Rail advanced; spin on and off, urban approach, change-ups
  • Jumps basic; straight airs, shifties, grabs, grabs with tweaks
  • Jumps advanced; 180’s front and backside, 360’s front and backside, and switch spins
  • Video Challenge

Meet The Pro: October 15

Brian Donovan is a current PSIA-AASI Snowboard National Team member who lives in Southern Vermont. He also works for the Eastern Region of PSIA-AASI as a Snowboard trainer, Examiner, and Advisor, and he works full time on-snow in the winter. His favorite way to spend time on the mountain is exploring all mountain freestyle, park laps with friends, or riding in the trees.

Meet The Pro: October 16

Amy Bailey is a two term AASI snowboard national team member, the Competition Team manager at Stratton resort, AASI Eastern Examiner and has a background in competitive snowboarding and building terrain parks. She lives in Southern Vermont and when not snowboarding enjoys mountain biking and paddle boarding. Amy has been working in the Snowsports industry for 16 years.

Meet The Pro: October 22

Chris Rogers teaches skiing and snowboarding at Vail and is one of 30 instructors representing the United States on the PSIA-AASI National Team. In addition to guiding and teaching he trains instructors all over the world. He’s spent most of his life skiing and snowboarding, and his biggest passion is helping others connect with the experience of sliding on snow. Chris is usually on-snow 200+ days a year. Off-snow, you can usually find him wake surfing, mountain, biking, camping, or traveling. Connect with winter through his eyes on Instagram @livewntr

Camp BIG After-School Series

    • Our first After-School Series was so popular, we’re releasing a second set of dates to keep the stoke alive. This multi-week program will run for four weeks starting October 17th. Campers will commit to one day and visit on the same day for four consecutive weeks. Lessons are available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4pm – 7pm. The After-School Series includes:

    • Ski or Snowboard Equipment Rental
  • Helmet
  • Outerwear (Pants and Jacket – Gloves are not included)
  • 3 Hour Slope Access Ticket
  • On-Snow Instruction
  • Continuous Supervision
  • Daily Snacks

    *One makeup day is available. Camper to schedule make-up day in advance on-site with instructor.

Other Important Information and Policies:

Reservations are highly recommended to ensure availability.

Campers are expected to make the same day each week for four weeks. One makeup day is available. Camper to schedule make-up day in advance on-site with instructor.

Reservations cancelled up to 24 hours prior to the lesson start may be rebooked for another time.

Any reservation that is cancelled within 24 hours of arrival time will result in the forfeiture of all payments.

Our ski boots are for use with our skis only. We do not rent boots for use with personal skis.

All package purchases are final and are non-transferable and non-refundable.
